Delivery FAQs

We deliver orders under 10kg Australia Wide and orders over 10kg in Metro Melb, some regional VIC and NSW. Check your postcode here.

Metro Melbourne delivery is $12.95 or free for orders over $130. We work on a fortnightly schedule to 6 different zones, so your delivery day will be every second Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. See the zones here.

Regional deliveries are taken to the courier once a week for delivery later that week or early the next. Your delivery day will always be confirmed with you by text once the order is placed. 

Orders under 5kg Australia Wide are shipped on Mondays and Wednesdays and delivered within 2 days.

Metro Melb = free delivery for orders over $130 (on our fortnightly schedule). 

Regional VIC

• Orders under $100 = $24.95 shipping
• Orders between $100-$200 = $19.95 shipping
• Orders  $200-$300- $9.95 shipping
• Orders over $300 free shipping 

NSW

• Orders under $250 = $34.95
• Orders between $250-$349 = $24.95
• Free delivery orders over $350

You can opt for cold packing at checkout which means your order will come packaged in a box or esky with insulated lining and ice packs. 

Orders that are cold packed will be left in a safe place at your address and will keep your order cool for 8-10hrs plus. 

You will be updated by text and email on delivery day and proof of delivery will be provided. 

If you do not opt for cold packaging your order will come frozen in a bag or box, and will travel in our refrigerated delivery van until it gets to you.

Once you have ordered we will always text you to confirm your delivery day within 48hrs.

Any specific delivery instructions can be added to the notes section at checkout and will go directly to the driver delivering your order. 

We use all donated and recycled packaging to reduce waste, and you can return it to us to be used again if you want to. 

All regional & Aus Wide 2 day delivery orders are cold packed always and metro Melb orders are cold packed only when requested. 

The delivery days cannot be changed but in some cases we may be able to
deliver your order on a different day - please get in touch with us by emailing
kate@thesaltiestdog.com for any specific requests. 

If there is a specific time frame you need your order delivered on your delivery day we can usually cater to this but please get in touch with us to confirm.

Alternatively, as long as there is somewhere safe to leave your order it can be cold packaged if you won’t be home on delivery day. 

We offer 2 day delivery Australia Wide for orders under 5kg and there are same and next day delivery options available for postcodes within 10km of Epping VIC 3076.

You are welcome to organise your own Uber Connect or similar to pick up from our warehouse during opening hours

Yes. Firstly you will be sent a text message confirming your delivery day (usually within 24hrs of placing your order).

METRO MELB:
On the delivery day you will be updated by text and email when your order is out for delivery, when the driver is 2 stops away and when your order has been delivered. You will have access to a proof of delivery picture. 

VIC & NSW:
You will also receive a text the day before your delivery is to be scheduled.

AUS WIDE:
Tracking will be available for your order.

METRO MELB
Our delivery schedule cannot be changed but we can delay your delivery if the next upcoming date isn’t suitable. If something urgent happens on the day and you need to cancel your delivery we can make arrangements- please contact us as soon as possible with any issues by calling 0422 977 243. 

We do not offer international delivery outside of Australia.

We now offer 2 day Australia Wide Delivery for orders under 5kg.

Please get in touch with us for a shipping quote if you would like to place an order over 5kg.

Yes! Our metro Melb deliveries are done by us in our Pink Sprinter Van with Lulu the boxer on the front- if you see us make sure you tag us on Insta so we can add to our ‘SPOTTED’ highlight 🙂

Regional deliveries are outsourced to a courier so won’t come in a pink van, but are also delivered in refrigerated transport to keep your order frozen. 

Aus Wide 2 day delivery is not transported in refrigerated transport but will be packed with enough insulation and with ice packs to keep it cool until it gets to you.

For metro Melb deliveries we need to receive your order by midnight the night before your delivery day.

For regional VIC & NSW please order by 5pm on Sundays.

AUS WIDE under 5kg:
Orders are shipped Mondays and Wednesdays and arrive within 2 days.

We do deliver the the Melbourne CBD and to apartment blocks- but if you won't be home to accept the delivery (and ideally meet us at the front) then we need to be able to access your building and there needs to be somewhere safe to leave
your order. Please provide specific delivery instructions at checkout.

Yes and we do regularly! To deliver an order to your dog in quarantine we need their patient number and all your associated information. 

Our fortnightly delivery to PEQ is every second Tuesday but you can also opt for a same or next day delivery at checkout.

For dogs that are not eating we recommend adding a bone broth for nourishment whilst in quarantine!
